Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision is to enhance drone operations in India from 27,000 to 100,000: Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Mr. Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu

On Tuesday, Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Mr. Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, announced that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi envisions increasing drone operations in India to 100,000 from the current 27,000. Speaking after the inauguration of the Drone Summit, organized by the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Drones Corporation in Amaravati, he highlighted a special program launched by the Union government to provide drone training for women, aimed at enhancing support for agriculture. He expressed aspirations for Andhra Pradesh to emerge as the global drone hub, not just within the country.

He praised Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu, for his proactive approach to drone operations. He noted his initiative to suggest the summit and his focus on future technologies that benefit the younger generation. He also credited his vision with transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city. The Amaravati Drone Summit is designed to promote collaboration and innovation in the drone industry, bringing together various stakeholders to discuss investment opportunities across sectors such as agriculture and water resource management. The summit features participation from government officials and leading companies in drone manufacturing, services, and technology development.
