The initiative, made possible through the company’s metaverse platform, Bharatmeta, looks forward to making the sacred landmarks in the temple town accessible to people around the world by early 2025, read a statement. This comes after last year’s launch of the Mata Vaishno Devi Metaverse asset in a joint venture with a global venture fund and the Kashi Vishwanath Metaverse last month.
The indigenous metaverse platform allows people to interact, collaborate, socialise and create AI-based content for immersive experiences in different sectors like banking/fintech, commerce, real estate, entertainment, culture and tourism among others.
“Ayodhya is the spiritual heart of India, and through Bharatmeta’s metaverse, we aim to transcend physical boundaries to share its profound heritage with the world,” said Rajesh Mirjankar, Co-Founder, MD & CEO of KiyaAI.
Mirjankar said the initiative aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘AI for All’ vision, “fostering inclusivity and shared cultural values.”
It also aligns with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ‘Vision 2047’ to position Ayodhya as a premier spiritual and global tourism destination.
Talking about the platform, Mirjankar said, “It’s about bridging divides and ensuring everyone can experience the depth and vibrancy of India’s traditions and digital infrastructure alike.”
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Modi made a fervent pitch to put in place a global framework to use digital technology along with the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI). He noted that in the interconnected world, security cannot be an afterthought.
“There is a need for a global framework… guidelines for digital technology,” PM Modi said at the inauguration of the International Telecommunication Union – WTSA and India Mobile Congress.
He added that it was time for global institutions to accept the “importance of a rule-based framework for digital technology.”
