Porsche’s Latest Release: Porsche has officially unveiled the 2025 911 Carrera T, designed specifically for purist drivers who appreciate the brand’s heritage. This model features a manual-only gearbox, a notable departure from the hybrid technology found in the Carrera GTS. Ads per German automobile manufacturer, the Carrera T aimed at enthusiasts seeking an unfiltered and driver-focused experience.
Powerful Engine Specs: Under the hood, the Carrera T is equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine, which churns out 388 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a seven-speed manual gearbox. Porsche claims the Carrera T can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.3 seconds.
Lightweight Design: To enhance performance, Porsche has focused on keeping the Carrera T lightweight and agile. The vehicle features a sports exhaust system and larger wheels to improve handling. Design choices, such as using lightweight glass and reducing acoustic insulation, help to lower the overall weight to approximately 1,504 kg.
Advanced Suspension Features: The Carrera T incorporates Porsche’s Active Suspension Management (PASM), which lowers the vehicle by 10 mm compared to standard models. Additionally, the car is fitted with a mechanical limited-slip differential and brake torque vectoring, which improve stability and control during tight turns. The steering system has also been refined for quicker response compared to the standard Carrera.
Classic Yet Modern Appearance: In terms of design, the Carrera T retains the iconic lines associated with the 911 model. The interior combines practicality with a touch of nostalgia, featuring an open-pore walnut shift knob that harks back to the Carrera GT. Unlike more tech-heavy versions, the Carrera T prioritises essential functions and a straightforward cabin layout.
Cabriolet Option Available: Porsche offers the Carrera T in both coupe and convertible forms. The Cabriolet version maintains all the power and agility of the coupe while introducing the enjoyment of open-air driving. Although the Cabriolet is slightly heavier due to its retractable roof system, it still captures the sporty essence of the Carrera T.
Carrera T Facelift Features: The recent facelift of the Carrera T introduces several updated features and technologies. It remains exclusively available with a manual gearbox, highlighting its focus on driver engagement. The updates also include refinements to both the exterior and interior, while maintaining its performance characteristics.
Enhanced Specifications: The facelifted Carrera T weighs 20 kg less than the standard 911 Carrera, now tipping the scales at approximately 1,478 kg. It features a 6-speed manual gearbox, a quicker steering ratio, and standard four-wheel steering, which was previously an optional feature.
Pricing in India: The pricing of the Carrera T reflects its premium positioning in the market. In India, the Coupe starts at around ₹1.13 crore ($135,995), while the Cabriolet is priced higher at approximately ₹1.24 crore ($149,295). This pricing contrasts with the base Carrera, which has a starting price of about ₹1.01 crore. These figures don’t include import duties and taxes.
