In an interaction with CNBC-TV18, Damani said that he plans to focus on digital public infrastructure as a key theme over the next three to four years. He also mentioned that he will closely watch developments in both DPI and the pharmaceutical sector during this period.
The ace investor expects government spending to increase soon, which could lead to a recovery in the market.
Damani also said that a slowdown in earnings worries him, but said that it’s transitory.
Meanwhile, equity benchmark indices begin Samvat 2081 on higher note on Friday, November 1, with Nifty above 24300.
The Sensex gained 357.57 points or 0.45% at 79,746.63, and the Nifty was up 109.60 points or 0.45% at 24,314.90. About 74 shares advanced, 7 shares declined, and 2 shares unchanged.
Among stocks, M&M, Eicher Motors, ONGC, Titan Company, IndusInd Bank were the major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Britannia, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, Infosys and HUL.
