Hebbalkar highlighted Karnataka’s appeal for investment, noting that Bengaluru remains the top city in the nation for investment inflows, a success attributed to the government’s strategic initiatives.
She pointed out that youth skill development programmes have empowered local talent to effectively contribute to various sectors, boosting economic growth and fostering investor confidence. Reiterating the government’s commitment to promoting the Kannada language, Hebbalkar called on citizens to engage more deeply with Kannada literature and culture.

“We are dedicated to establishing Kannada as the primary administrative language and have launched various initiatives to support this aim. Programs that celebrate literature, folk arts, and cultural heritage are central to our mission,” she stated.
Hebbalkar also outlined the government’s broader vision for socio-economic empowerment, stating, “Our five guarantee schemes are designed to provide individuals with greater independence in both social and economic areas.”

In terms of educational initiatives, she announced a Rs 14.2 crore grant under the ‘Odhu Karnataka’ (Read Karnataka) program, which aims to enhance literacy among government school students in Classes 4 and 5. The initiative will include study materials and teacher training to ensure its effectiveness.
Regarding irrigation advancements in the Udupi district, Hebbalkar announced plans to build vented dams worth Rs 1.88 crore under the Paschima Vahini project this financial year. “These dams will irrigate 33 hectares of agricultural land. Additionally, embankments will be constructed along 151 km of riverbanks at a cost of Rs 6.15 crore to mitigate flooding risks for farmland,” she explained.
