Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Mr. Amit Shah launched development projects worth Rs 1,003 crore (US$ 120.23 million) in Ahmedabad, focusing on enhancing local infrastructure and improving living conditions for residents. During the event, he also introduced a nationwide tree plantation campaign, urging citizens to plant trees in their communities, schools, and nearby wastelands to combat environmental challenges. He emphasized the goal of planting 30 lakh trees within 100 days to improve air quality and protect the ozone layer.
In addition to these initiatives, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Mr. Amit Shah reaffirmed the significance of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), stating it aims to provide justice and rights to those denied them from 1947 to 2014 due to Congress’s appeasement politics. He reassured the Muslim community that the CAA is about granting citizenship to Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain refugees, not taking it away, linking it to the broader commitment of the government to ensure justice and support for marginalized communities.
