Niva Bupa Health Insurance secures ₹990 crore from anchor investors ahead of IPO

Health insurer Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Ltd on Wednesday (November 6) has raised approximately 990 crore from anchor investors in advance of its initial public offering (IPO), which is set to open for public subscription on Thursday (November 7).

The company reported that it had allocated 13,37,83,783 equity shares at 74 per share to prominent anchor investors.

The anchor round included significant participation from both foreign and domestic institutions such as Amansha Holdings, Zulia Investments, A91 Emerging Fund II LLP, Nippon Life, Tata Balance Advantage Fund, Axis Mutual Fund, and Morgan Stanley Investment Fund. A total of 32 anchor investors participated, with six domestic mutual funds among them.

The IPO structure includes a fresh issue worth up to 800 crore and an offer for sale totalling up to 1,400 crore by Bupa Singapore Holdings Pte. Ltd and Fettle Tone LLP, the selling shareholders. The offering, priced within a band of 70 to 74 per equity share, aims to raise 2,200 crore at the top end of the price range.

Interested investors can bid for a minimum of 200 shares and in multiples thereafter, with the offer closing on Monday, November 11, 2024. The IPO will allocate at least 75% of shares to qualified institutional buyers, up to 15% to non-institutional investors, and up to 10% to retail individual bidders.

ICICI Securities Limited, Morgan Stanley India Company Limited, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, Axis Capital Limited, HDFC Bank Limited, and Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Limited are serving as book-running lead managers for the offering, with KFin Technologies Limited acting as the registrar.
