Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has been recognized as one of the World’s Most Influential Companies by TIME magazine, making its second appearance on the prestigious TIME 100 list. This recognition places Reliance in the ‘Titans’ category, highlighting its transformative impact across various sectors in India and globally. Notably, Reliance is the only Indian company to have been included twice in this elite list. Previously, its subsidiary Jio Platforms was featured in the inaugural TIME 100 Most Influential Companies List of 2021.
TIME magazine lauded Reliance as ‘India’s Juggernaut,’ noting its origins as a textile and polyester enterprise founded by Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani 58 years ago and its evolution into India’s most valuable company, with a market capitalization exceeding US$ 200 billion. The publication emphasized the company’s alignment with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision for a ‘self-reliant’ India.
In addition to Reliance, this years’ TIME 100 Most Influential Companies list features two other Indian companies. The Tata Group, a prominent name in Indian business, is also included in the ‘Titans’ category, while the Serum Institute of India, renowned for its work in vaccine manufacturing, is recognized in the ‘Pioneers’ category. This marks the fourth annual edition of TIME’s list, celebrating businesses making extraordinary global impacts.
