Expect India to be the third largest market among 118 countries: Mercedes-Benz.

Mercedes-Benz anticipates India to emerge as its third-largest market in the ‘Region Overseas’ within 2-3 years, fuelled by sustained demand for luxury vehicles. Currently positioned as the fifth-largest market in the region, following Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Turkey, India stands out with a sales gap of around 8,000 units per year compared to Turkey. Head of Region Overseas at Mercedes-Benz AG, Mr.Sagree Sardien, highlighted India’s strategic importance, noting its consistent double-digit growth in sales and expressing confidence in achieving the target within the stipulated timeframe.

India’s ascent aligns with Mercedes-Benz’s plans to introduce 12 new models, including three battery electric vehicles, in the market this year. He emphasized India’s significance in the global region, encompassing 118 countries, excluding North America, Europe, and China, affirming its present and future importance for the brand.
