Workshop against sexual harassment of women held at CIFNET

A workshop was conducted by the Central Institute of Fisheries nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) unit, Visakhapatnam, as part of Sexual Harassment against Women at the workplace Prevention Week, here on Friday.

Addressing the participants, Y. Jyothi Vijaya, Presiding Officer, Internal Complaint Committee, spoke about “Sexual Harassment against Women at the workplace Prevention” and shared valuable information on the POSH Act, 2013, and the legal procedures.

P. Viji, senior scientist, CIFT, Vizag, also spoke. Hrusikesh Bisoyi, Deputy Director, spoke on the importance of safety of women at the workplace.

Amrutha Varshini, gave a presentation on the importance of the awareness among women about She-BOX, an electronic window access to every woman of all sectors by Government of India.
