The first list includes Vijender Gupta contesting from Rohini constituency, Ashish Sood from Janakpuri, Kailash Gahlot from Bijwasan and Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma from New Delhi.

Three women activists of Punjab farmer organisation killed in road accident
“Three women activists of a farmer organisation were killed and 30 others got injured after a bus carrying them met with an accident in Punjab’s Barnala on Saturday (January 4, 2025),” police said. The bus was carrying over 52 members of BKU (Ugrahan) from a village in Bathinda district to Haryana’s Tohana for a farmers’ mahapanchayat there.
Delhi air pollution: SC to consider extending order for colour-coded stickers for vehicles beyond NCR
The Supreme Court has stressed on the need of hologram-based colour-coded stickers for vehicles to tackle air pollution, saying it was considering to make it mandatory in states and Union Territories beyond the National Capital Region. In 2018, the top court accepted the proposal of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), which envisaged that hologram-based light blue stickers would be used in vehicles using petrol and CNG in the National Capital Region (NCR), whereas diesel-run vehicles would have orange stickers.

Experts working with the tech industry tentatively welcomed the draft Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, issued on Friday (January 3, 2025).
