The reason? It will be available for live streaming on Disney+ Hotstar for fans across India. The streaming deal will also include exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the band. The concert will be streamed live from Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, one of the largest in the world.
In a video posted on social media, frontman Chris Martin said that the group was excited to come to India and hoped the fans would join them from across the country.”Namaste, India, we are so happy to tell you that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad will be streaming live on Disney+Hotstar,” said Martin.

He was accompanied by other band members — Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Guy Berryman.

Sanjog Gupta, CEO of JioStar — Sports, highlighted Disney+ Hotstar’s innovative approach to entertainment and sports consumption in India. He further said that the partnership demonstrates the commitment to bring iconic cultural experiences to the masses. “Leveraging our cutting-edge technology and vast reach, we’re breaking down barriers to premium entertainment, making it accessible to all and fostering a shared celebration nationwide,” Gupta added.
Coldplay will perform at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, and then travel to Ahmedabad for two shows on January 25 and 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Singer Jasleen Royal will open for the band on their India tour, becoming the first Indian artist to do so. Shone and Elyanna will also perform at the Coldplay concerts — each of them bringing their unique elements to the musical extravaganza.
