Seven final-year B.Tech students from Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) in Annamayya district have been selected for a two-month international internship at the University of Aizu, Japan.
The students — Pallavi Konduru, Manasa Nellori, Ayesha Penugonda, Sai Ganeswari Nallapusala, Bindusree Gopalappa, Indu Easwar Shivani Nayuni, and Jaswanth Muthinedi — will work under the guidance of Prof. Uday Kiran Rage and with the support of Tatsuki Kawaguchi, Director of International Programs at the University of Aizu.
This opportunity arrived following the collaborative efforts between MITS and global institutions, supported by preliminary MoU negotiations led by Mr. Kawaguchi and Vijaya Lakshmi Udayagiri, senior manager of MITS’ International Relations Office. Ms. Udayagiri also visited Japan to finalise the partnership, which aims to enhance educational and research collaborations.
The internship offers students exposure to cutting-edge technologies and a global academic environment, reflecting MITS’ commitment to internationalisation. On this occasion, the students and Ms. Udayagiri felicitated Mr. Kawaguchi for his contributions.
College correspondent N. Vijaya Bhaskar Choudary, executive director Keerthi Nadella, principal C. Yuvaraj, and faculty members lauded the achievement and congratulated the interns on advancing MITS’ global research initiatives.
