Tech this week: Acer Iconia Tablets, HONOR Magic 7 and more

This week, the tech sector saw a series of exciting launches from prominent brands. From high-end smartphones to new versions of tablets, the list includes all major updates this week. Among the highlights were Acer Iconia Tablets and the HONOR Magic 7 series.

Acer Iconia Tablets

Acer has launched its new range of Iconia Tab Android tablets, including the 8.7-inch Iconia Tab iM9-12M and a 10.36-inch Iconia Tab iM10-22, in the Indian market. The company claims that both tablets offer a balance of performance and portability. It also includes dual SIM 4G LTE support for connectivity.

The all-new Tabs are now available through Acer exclusive stores, the Acer online store and e-commerce platform Amazon India. These devices run on the Android 14 operating system and support dual SIM 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity.

realme GT7 Pro

realme has officially introduced the GT7 Pro in the Chinese market. The new flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite System-on-Chip (SoC). Running on the Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0, it features a 6500mAh battery. The GT7 Pro is scheduled to launch in India on November 26 with availability on Amazon India and realme’s official website.

Beats x Kim Studio Pro headphones and Beats Pill

Beats by Dr Dre announced a new partnership with Kim Kardashian to launch the latest “Beats x Kim” special edition. The iconic Beats Studio Pro headphones and the newly redesigned Beats Pill speaker are now available in India. The exclusive collection is inspired by Kardashian’s minimalist aesthetic.

The Beats Studio Pro will be available in three new, neutral tones: Moon (light), Dune (medium), and Earth (deep), while the Beats Pill in Light Gray and Dark Gray options. The Beats Studio Pro will be offered with a price tag of ₹37,900, while the Beats Pill will be priced at ₹16,900.

Oppo Find X8

Chinese brand Oppo has already launched Find X8 and Find X8 Pro in its home country. Now, it’s time for the global launch of smartphones. While the exact dates are under wraps, it is expected to be launched in the coming days in the global market. The company recently confirmed that the global variants of the model feature a dual periscope camera system with a Triple Prism Fold Reflection System. The series will also feature a quad-camera system with GenAI features, Dolby Vision video recording, and 4-mic Spatial Audio.

HONOR Magic 7 series

HONOR launched its new flagship HONOR Magic 7 series, the HONOR Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro, in China. The HONOR Magic 7 series is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. These series hold a five-star Swiss SGS certification for durability and come with dual IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The standard HONOR Magic 7 has a 5,650mAh battery, while the Pro model offers a 5,850mAh capacity.
