In a welcome move, Apple also upped the base RAM on all its MacBooks to 16 GB, with prices and storage variants unchanged.
The new MacBook Pro is available in 14- and 16-inch screen sizes, maintaining a design similar to its predecessor but offering significant enhancements in performance.
The base model includes the M4 chip, equipped with an 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16GB RAM. The M4 Pro variant boasts a 14-core CPU with 10 performance cores, a 20-core GPU, and supports up to 64GB of unified memory. For those seeking maximum power, the M4 Max chip offers a 16-core CPU, a 40-core GPU, and up to 128GB of unified memory.

Apple describes the M4 chip family as the most advanced lineup ever built for professional laptops. The new MacBook Pro also introduces an “all-new nano-texture display option,” reducing glare and reflections, and achieving up to 1,600 nits peak brightness for HDR content.
Additional features include a 12MP Center Stage camera for improved video calls, three Thunderbolt 4 ports on the M4 model, and Thunderbolt 5 ports on the M4 Pro and M4 Max models for faster data transfer. Connectivity options also include an HDMI port, SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 charging port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with support for Apple Intelligence features.
Pre-orders are now open, with availability from November 8 on Apple’s official website and in offline stores.
