‘He will be gone in upcoming election’: Elon Musk predicts Justin Trudeau’s future

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who funded and backed Donald Trump’s second bid for the Oval Office, has made a bold prediction: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will lose the upcoming polls. The tech billionaire’s prediction came during a conversation on social media.

On X, when a Swedish journalist shared an update on the German government, writing, “The German Socialist government has COLLAPSED and there are now talks about a snap election.”

The Tesla CEO then retweeted the post, calling German Chancellor Olaf Scholz a ‘fool’. He wrote, “Olaf ist ein Narr”, which translates to “Olaf is a fool.” A social media user then responded to the tweet and wrote, “Elon Musk we need your help in Canada getting rid of Trudeau”. Replying to his comment, the Elon wrote, “He will be gone in the upcoming election.”.

This was not the first time the billionaire criticised Justin Trudeau. Earlier, he slammed the Trudeau government for ‘crushing free speech’ in Canada.

His last comment came after the Canadian government’s decision that the online streaming services would have to register for ‘regulatory controls’.

Musk then tweeted on X and called it ‘shameful’, adding, “Trudeau is trying to crush free speech in Canada. Shameful.”

The upcoming election in Canada is scheduled for October 2025, and it will be crucial for Trudeau, who has been leading the Liberal Party since 2013.

Next year, Trudeau’s party will compete against other major parties, including the Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre and the New Democratic Party, led by Jagmeet Singh. The Bloc Quebecois and the Green Party are among other contenders.
